PORTFOLIO

under His skin is a project about football culture. It questions where's the limit with fanaticism using Lionel Messi's left foot and creating a football trainer that can imitate his athletic skills.

FOOTWEAR DESIGN

In a world where beauty, aesthetic, sexuality and language are being challenged and redefined. I started to wonder what my role as a designer would/should be and this is when -Gummo- was born. Gummo is inspired by Harmony Korine's film of the same name. In this film, ugliness, need, poverty and the grotesque are seen through the lense of the nonsensical but portrayed nonetheless for us spectator to see, and hence immortalized through art, because it is the only way to legitimiza the invisible, the ugliness to make it valuable, to make it real and desirable to watch.

Inspired by the Grotesque I tried to find the body that would be able to embody my Gummo. I based it on Quasimodo of the Hunchback of Notre Dame and the story of Joseph Merrick.

A follow-up project in which we could decide to make a outer garment.

In this case I used Lavinia's Schultz costumes and the movie
The Cabinet of Drs Caligaris as inspiration.

For the suit project I used as inspiration Brutalists buildings which would serve as a base for geometric shapes and artwork such as the album cover of Jesse Kanda for organic shapes.
